Bambu Lab H2S: The next evolutionary stage of high-speed 3D printing

Generous installation space meets high-speed performance

With the new Bambu Lab H2S, Bambu Lab shows where the journey in desktop and semi-professional 3D printing is headed: More build space, more speed, more material flexibility – all in a slim, affordable single-nozzle system.

This model is clearly aimed at makers, workshops and production environments that want performance without having to go directly into industrial-grade equipment.

The H2S comes with a build volume of 340 × 320 × 340 mm³ , which, according to the manufacturer, delivers 220% of the volume of the previous X1C series.

This means that large parts, complex housings or mechanical prototypes can be produced directly without cutting.

But size isn't everything: The H2S combines its large installation space with impressive speed:

  • Tool head speed up to 1000 mm/s
  • Acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s²

This makes the H2S one of the fastest single-nozzle printers on the market – ideal for serial printing, larger projects or rapid iterations.

Technology for demanding materials & maximum stability

The H2S is not only fast, but also designed with robust technology:

  • 350 °C hotend – suitable for high-performance polymers and technical materials.
  • Actively heated chamber at 65 °C – minimizes distortion, ensures stable layer adhesion with demanding materials.
  • Single-nozzle design : No tool changes required, simpler maintenance, lower costs – with high performance.

This makes the H2S ideal for filaments such as ABS, ASA, PC, nylon or carbon-filled materials – whether for functional prototypes, mechanical parts or durable workpieces.

Intelligent control, precision & material flexibility

Bambu Lab goes beyond pure hardware with the H2S, integrating smart features to make the printing process reliable and user-friendly:

  • 23 sensors and 3 cameras monitor the pressure in real time – from material flow to chamber climate. Optional vision encoder for motion accuracy < 50 µm – ideal for precise, assembly-critical components.
  • Compatibility with the Bambu Lab AMS 2 Pro material handling system – for multi-material or color changes as needed.

The H2S combines speed, precision and flexibility in a compact package – without compromise.

Variants & pricing – flexible according to needs

Bambu Lab offers the H2S in several variants to meet different requirements:

  • H2S (basic version) – Single-nozzle, large installation space, maximum speed.
  • H2S AMS Combo – including AMS 2 Pro for multi-material or multicolor printing.
  • H2S Laser Full Combo – optionally with laser or cutting module for advanced hybrid manufacturing (3D printing + laser engraving/cutting).

According to the manufacturer, the base price starts at around US$1,249 , while the AMS and laser versions are correspondingly more expensive.

Who is the H2S intended for?

H2S specifically targets:
  • Ambitious makers – who want more than desktop PLA
  • workshops or small production lines
  • Designers, engineers and hobbyists who want to create large, technical parts
  • Users looking for excellent value for money

In short: Anyone who wants to combine speed, material variety and stability with a compact budget and space requirements will find a real advancement in the H2S.

Conclusion: H2S – a major leap towards professional additive manufacturing

The Bambu Lab H2S is more than just another 3D printer: it's a statement. A statement that high speed, large build volume, and material flexibility don't have to be reserved for industrialized systems.

For maker spaces, smaller workshops or ambitious creators, the H2S should be an interesting option — if not the ideal entry point into more professional manufacturing workflows.
